Typically developing individuals are needed for most studies for comparison purposes. CAR’s research program includes brain imaging studies, epidemiology studies, developmental studies, genetics studies, and treatment studies. CAR’s goals are to identify the neurobiological, environmental, and genetic causes of ASD and to develop effective treatments. Participating families receive comprehensive assessment reports and are paid for their time and travel costs.
